My beginning journey

Hello my name is Cocodoll45. I am 14 days post op of gastric bypass. I been having such a hard post surgery journey. I can't drink anything to much. The protein shakes and Gatorade are too sweet. Water I'm barely getting this down. I'm always weak and tired. I'm feeling like I made a mistake by getting this done. Please help me with other options I can do to get more fluids in please.

In the beginning I found the same problem with protein shakes and water. I relied on homemade bone broth soups. Chicken bone broth was my #1 friend. And I learned to force myself to drink the shakes for fear of future hair loss.

I as well am about the same time frame out and experienced the same thing. Today I actually finally started feeling better. Big difference for me was making sure I do not eat 30 minutes after I drink and then don't drink for 30 minutes after I eat. Md also gave me mess to help prevent muscle spasms which is a life saver.

If the shakes are too sweet get frozen fruit and make a smoothie that is the only way I can drink them. Water I love so no problems with that.
