18 months and hit my Goal! It was a journey

Recommended Posts

scale said 185! Same weight from high school. So many ups and downs. Someone asked what the hardest part was....I am 46, married 18 years (all very heavy) and did not hand the attention very well. (Even after people said your hormones will go crazy). I’m a guy. What hormones. Oh well. Glad to finally hit my goal. Feel stronger and healthier today than at any time during the last 25 years.

Congratulations! I don't think I will ever be taking off my shirt unless I get surgery for skin tightening. Only so much muscle is filling in my skin. Any tips for sagging skin care?

Not sure. Very fortunate that it was not too big of an issue. Did not do anything to prevent it.

Does the fact I will be turning into a Kangaroo ( because Bypassers now have a pouch) on September 5th mean I will hit my final, goal faster than my Bananrama (VSG) sisters and brothers? I do know the % of final goal is slightly, higher for RNY,than VSG but is timing still an individual thing?😧,

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
