Take a Benadryl maybe that will help. Is it just your stomach?

Hi all! 1 week post op, 10lbs down and started itching all over my stomach last night. Sent pics of incisions to PA this morning who said all looks great. Probably nerve endings healing. Anyone else experience this?

Yeah, itching sucks. The old tattoo trick of slapping it helps. Allergy meds can help as well.

It is very common. There are many incisions (wounds) on your body and they are healing.

Mine is itchy too and there is a hard knot under the big incision.

I experienced that too. My doctor said it's part of the healing process and not to be concerned unless they start to get red/inflammed and/or pus oozes out which can indicate an infection. I'm 5 weeks out and my incisions still occasionally itch.

I’m 2 weeks post op sleeve, and my stomach itches something fierce! I have an abdominal binder that I wear, and that does not help the situation! I also believe it’s just the healing process, but that doesn’t make it any less irritating!

The hard knot can take sometime to disappear. It is the main area where the surgery took place. Mine finally disappeared after a year.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
