I have a desk job and getting a sleeve

I’m headed to BariatricPal Mexico to have a gastric sleeve at the end of this month. I have a desk job and when I had my gallbladder out last year, I was only out from work for about 5 days. I was sore and got tired easily but I was fine. I’m hoping it’s about the same recovery time with the sleeve surgery. When did you all go back to work?

Had surgery on Tuesday. Discharged on Wednesday. Slept all day Thursday. Worked from home almost a full day Friday. Worked 2/3 of a day Monday and Tuesday and back to full schedule on Wednesday.

Just had the sleeve in July and was back at work 1 after. The first 3 to 4 days are the hardest. But in also have a desk job, not a problem.

I'm an accountant. I took off one week, worked one week of 1/2 days and then back to full time. Problem is, how fast you heal varies for everyone. Good luck with your surgery!

I have a desk job- surgery was 7/23 and I was back to work the following Monday 7/30. I was tired and sore but I made it. My 2nd week back to work has been MUCH better!

I hope to be back at work by the time you’re headed to surgery. Are you going to Mexico too?
With a desk job usually 7-10 days are enough..

No, I will be doing mine at a hospital in Boston. I am thinking of going to Mexico down the road for plastics though.
