I'm coming over for lunch! We freeze and use our leftover pancakes made with banana, oatmeal and cottage cheese batter into quick, little sandwiches. This was lunch yesterday - egg salad with that hint of banana. Yum.

Great idea! I need to try this! Yum 😋

Went out for lunch today and ordered the steak tip salad. Here’s my before and after. I barely touched it at the restaurant because I ended up eating one of my bfs potato skins and I got full quick 😕 I ended up finishing the salad at home, it was my only meal for the day. Plus a pineapple matcha latte with almond milk!

In the very first post @GreenTealael laid out the intent of this thread

"Like weight loss before and after photos but of your new diet !

I'm especially interested in before and after meal photos (take a pic at the point you feel restriction) but it can be of recipe substitutions, your refrigerator/pantry/shopping cart/etc"

If a more narrowly focused thread is of interest to you, they exist or you can create a new one.

+1

although I enjoy looking at ALL types of food pics, lol: eaten, half eaten, barely eaten, healthy, not healthy, etc.

i may have a problem...

Of course, my sincere apologies! I should have read the first post and the intent of this thread.

Ahhh ... miss you too @Sophie7713!

Isn't quarantine life odd? I went from constant work travel to constant stay at home-ness. I miss my old life, but it has given an opportunity to deepen relationships that wouldn't have been possible otherwise. My bf and I are half way moved in together, but still have our own closet space 🤣.

I'm also seeing close family much more frequently. During the first weeks of lockdown I started doing meal preps for some of them, because groceries were hard to come by. I've continued it because I enjoy it, and it helps out financially and/or they just like my cooking better than their own 🤣

Typical of my twice weekly preps:

But it's probably not a coincidence they've all recently gone on some kind of diet. My baking was probably to blame. Maybe my roll phase in particular, cinnamon rolls, orange rolls, salami rolls, coconut rolls 😧

Viagra... Always Viagra 😂

I was thinking vaccine! But you make a good point... LOL! Here's the seasoning version I found yesterday at Whole Foods market. Looking forward to trying it on a salad or veggies, but a little concerned that salt was listed as the 2nd ingredient. :[ Pickled beets and egg for Breakfast.

Is that first column after description the number of carb grams?

Kung Pao Tofu, Plain Fried Tofu & Kung Pao chicken. Garlic Fried Rice w/ Peas on the side.

I ate 6 Kung Pao Tofu pieces + 6 Plain Fried Tofu pieces: 241 calories

I also ate 1/3 cup deluxe mixed nuts (not shown): 225 calories.

Edited to add: Oh, and I had a couple bites off the top of Mr.’s Fudge Drumstick Ice Cream Cone (approx 1/4 of whole thing): 75 calories.

Yes, it’s net carbs. Pretty high as well but it is oatmeal. This has been my go to on days where I am skipping meals. My nutritionist and I are working on my carbphobia 😅 Hence this meal and the recent avocado toast I posted.

Not sure if it’s the carbs or what but I was in a longgggg stall and it finally broke.

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
