Yum! We're having lamb chops tonight! I wish they were being served in Iceland!

I NEED y'all to know ...

It took 3 Decaf Lipton to equal the strength of 1 caffeinated Lipton 😭😭😭

But I'm doing it for the culture...

I usually let it steep a LOT longer.

Has anyone ever tried Makhana (fox nuts, lotus seeds)?

Amazing texture and flavor

I had to Google them. Very interesting, might have to give them a try.

First meal of the day:

Shirataki noodle stir fry with grilled chicken and leftover mushroom mapo tofu. (Thanks @FluffyChix for the dry-fry-noodle tip!...so much better when the noodles aren't sopping wet)

Looks like I was a little optimistic about the portion size, I ate maybe 1/4 of it. Will take another stab at this in a couple hours. If I finish it, it will be 246 cals, 22g Protein, 12.4g net carbs, 12g fat.

EDIT: after writing this post, I realize I need to get more fat in, so I ate a tablespoon of Peanut Butter and will add some avocado chunks to the stir-fry when I attempt to eat it again later.

So I got this tub of yogurt at my local Indian market. It was the same price as a Chobani. I haven't tried it yet but its huge! (Brita pitcher for context)

dinner tonight was awesome! I only wish I could have eaten one more bite. Moroccan grilled chicken thighs (boneless, skinless), tabbouleh (made with farro rather than couscous or bulgar wheat). So very yummy.

I've attached my before and after shots, as well as my 8yo's plate for comparison. She went back for seconds on the salad. 20190703_174604.jpeg 20190703_175924.jpeg 20190703_174356.jpeg

😍 This looks delish.

Tabbouleh: Another one to add to my to-make list! Will likely sub in cabbage or cauliflower rice in place of the farro/couscous/bulgur...

dinner tonight: "Hot Honey pizza". Andouille sausage, bacon, grilled chicken, caramelized onion, spinach, bleu cheese, walnuts and mushrooms with mozzarella and a light spicy honey glaze. Gluten-free crust- only ate one slice

I also had several mini teriyaki meatballs. Snapchat-428503683.jpeg

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
