But the Salmon Croquettes... 😳

I actually thought "How can she even stomach this while being on a high dose of PPI and having no acid down there?!"

Oh well, I guess my stomach is just a Primadonna. 😖

Ok....so there may be a such a thing as too much Chia. So last night I had 95g of my protein-powder-shake based pudding with pumpkin seeds (calcuated 12.2g of fibre) and since I woke up this morning my stomach has been making the pre-diarrhea sounds and "movements". Yikes. Good thing the washroom is like 15 feet from my desk....

Noted! 🤣

First meal of the day: Mini crustless quiche, or, as the Kid said: "Oh. So like an omelette." 🙄

106 cals, 2g carbs, 9g Protein per serving.

I ate one and was almost over-full.F6548C3E-12EA-4A1F-B27B-B9720A5AA7F5.thumb.jpeg.c0df60a939fd026584fac137f7d3dc29.jpeg D8ADC3D0-B36E-4CE0-BC1E-AFF900CD1146.thumb.jpeg.cadfa7532d601f9f92acd2557c70132b.jpegDE4569D1-D237-4D33-9C5D-4C4A1DC7F1F8.png.023f76000dee901c9ff15cf1d527ac74.pngC2618B59-35B2-4983-B628-281DA230E5B4.png.dc28de9ec02557604ac68d91befef50c.png

@ms.sss How do you get them to not stick??

Image result for what kind of black magic is this

honestly, i don't know!! i had forgot to spray with avocado oil before filling the pan, but they still came out nicely...

(i scooped them out with a bowl scraper immediately out of the oven...maybe that helped??...or maybe because i put the cheese in first and then followed with the egg mixture??...or maybe it was magic after all...mwha-ha-ha-ha)

I don't have the black magic of @ms.sss, but when I make these (in a silicone muffin pan!) I package them two at a time in snack size ziplocks. I personally don't eat them (no love for eggs), but they are a nice little mini meals for the bf to eat throughout the week.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
