I’ve been trying to figure out how to “reply” and no success lol! So @Frustr8 , my Surgery will be at Mount Carmel West with Dr. Marcus Miller through Central Ohio Surgical Associates.

My highest weight is about 330 at the end of May. I lost 15 in June so I wouldn’t have to extend my weigh ins. Right now I’m at 310 but I hope to hit 299 by the day of surgery. I was diagnosed with high blood pressure last year and my glucose is normal , not sure how though. Thank you ! I hope things go well for you as well!

Hmmn Better you than me! Marcus Miller and I go way back and not all of it good. But different strokes, different folks, I hope he does do good by you. And the rest perhaps the better not said. I will be praying for you that things go well.

Private message me and I'll spill the Beans, I hate to air it again in public. Parts I don't think are pretty.

I just rescheduled my surgery date to 9/13.. changed it cus I was going to be on my monthly and opted to not deal with that at the same time!

Mine got rescheduled for the 13th as well! Originally I was 9/5, but I had to have oral surgery and that was cutting it too short to heal completely for intubation with VSG surgery.

That is awesome! Do you have to do a pre op diet? I hope all goes well for you with the VSG but also with the dental!

Yes, I have to do a 2 week pre-op diet, but I started it early. Mine allows Protein Shakes and 4 oz of lean meat and vegetables for dinner. My calorie cap is 1200.

Lucky both of you! Mine is a full liquid diet with 90 g of Protein. broth, strained cream of Soups, power aid zero, sf popsicles, sf Jello, Water and crystal light. But I guess that is why the said for us NOT to start it any sooner than the date given to us by the surgeon.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
