Just don't give up and don't look for the band to do all the work, it's a tool to help you. It's easy to get discouraged, but you have to help your band-help you.

I have not lost any weight in over a year, but I'm ok with that, because I haven't gained, but I try to remember to eat Protein first. I know what my problem is and that is that I don't exercise, no one to blame, but me.

Start over, it's not too late, you still have the band, take a deep breath and take it a day at a time.

It's NOT too late!

Hugs

forreste,

It's amazing how our body can fight the weight loss. It is so true how we can learn to trick the band and eat around it. It's so important to recognize this so you don't develop a complication and loose your band altogether. I have to always keep this in the front of my mind. I've had two semi slips requiring unfills. Each time I swear I'll behave if I can keep my band, but you get comfortable.

My advice is to listen to the dietician(as hard as that can be sometimes). Eat a lot of small, high protien meals. Be mindful when eating. When ever I go back to basics I loose weight period. It is only a matter of how long I can stick with it.

Best of luck to you.

MikeC

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
