What am I doing wrong!

Recommended Posts

I am 19 days post op. I started the puréed phase this week. I had lost 31 lbs prior to starting this phase. I’m following my guidelines to the letter but have not lost an ounce since. Maybe this is the dreaded 3 week stall I have read so much about. It’s very frustrating! I probably should just put the scale away. Any suggestions or advice?

When I hit my first stall, I switched from weighing to measuring and while the scale hadn't moved an ounce, I'd lost 5 inches. That helped me feel better about the scale.

It could be a stall. One thing I learned is not to obsess over the scale or weigh yourself constantly. You may have lost inches in your clothes.

Your body needs time to adjust and reconfigure, is what I assume with stalls. As long as you are following directions, things will get moving again. It seems to me that when the scale isn't moving is when my body seems to do some shrinking. Doesn't make any sense, but there you have it. Stay the course!

I’m 24 days out and stalled as well. I’m not sure how long to not see any more loss. I’m just trying not to obsess. I just got so used to seeing the weight come off that now it’s kikda disheartening.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
