I’m losing pretty slowly too. I notice I lose a little better on days where I’ve had an hour of movement. The main thing people usually say is that building muscle helps. I need to start working on building some. Good luck!

I’m 6 days post op with a net Gain of 7lb since surgery and living off of broth!!!! So disheartening. They say it’s fluids from IV, but should that nigbgave come off my now? Feeling rather lousy, and trying to keep my spirits up.

I wouldn't be too worried. Keep the following in mind... Have you been passing gas / burping regularly to release the excess air. Additionally have you had a BM? If not, that could be some of your problem too. I gained nearly 10lbs post surgery and it wasn't until I passed a BM did the weight start coming off.

Thank you @MargoCL I’ve had diarrhea since day 3, and have been able to pass gas and burp. I’m walking a LOT, even did treadmill yesterday. Very very slow of course but I’m getting in lots of steps. They finally too drainage port out today. I know it’s can’t be fat, so... just have to keep drinking I guess. Tired of broth, but alas, two more weeks of it for me

Ugh ? so yesterday I had the worst pain I’ve ever felt. It was so bad. I cried, I screamed in pain—the Er rushed me back and got me attached to an IV and then gave me some dilaudid which helped some. Got another dose and then a cat scan. They think that my intestines were protesting the surgery from last week. I was also a little dehydrated, so after they gave me a 3rd dose of dilaudid and then a bag of fluid which helped—honestly I’ve been trying to drink fluids but they just don’t want to go in. Went home and rested for several hours and then was able to take in another 17 oz of fluid pretty easily. Still not feeling good. They told me to pretty much be on bed rest for the next 2-3 days and take my oxycodone every 4 hours. :( why is this so hard?? Surgeon was in surgery at the time but ER talked to him. And I have an appointment with him in a couple hours so that’s good.
Also didn’t lose any weight yesterday or today ?
But you will, you will start losing more.

Don't worry about the weight right now. Worry about getting yourself in a good place health wise. Really sorry you went through what you did. Glad your feeling somewhat better and hope it only gets more better'r. Sip those liquids as much and often as you can. Good luck to you.

3 pounds down in 4 days. Loosing the numbers after the decimals. Lol. Slowly but healthy
And I hope your doctor? appointment goes real good!?

So sorry dear. Did you get a Sleeve or bypass? I too wounded up back in hospital a week after the sleeve. It happens. I now have the bypass. It’s so frustrating I know, but keep your mind focused and your heart steady, it will all be worth it in the end. Sending you prayers and healing thoughts! Keep us updated

I had rny. (Surgery was 8/21). I’m doing a lot of resting at the moment. :(

Listen to your body, and drink when you can. Remember our bodies are an amazing organ, it knows what we need before we do. Wishing you a speedy recovery. And don't worry about the weight loss right now, worry about getting yourself healthy.

Oh and I’m a week out and still have a net gain of 3lb since surgery date. Better than that 9pb I gained after surgery but still... yeah, disheartening sitting on broth and still seeing gain a week latter ?
