I’m trying to get up the courage to wear this dress to work tomorrow. It’s definitely not my usual style bc usually I hide in basics, but I bought this from Amazon for like $19 and I really like it but feel self-conscious and unsure...

Edited to add a pic from 1 week post op for comparison...though the clothing and stance is really not apples to apples!

Yea or nay?

Aw hon, that sucks! Sleep has been horrid for me! It’s like I’m used to sleeping on a full belly! Not empty and anxious. Maybe some melatonin?

If I have trouble sleeping again tonight I'll pick up some tomorrow. This weather isn't being kind to my body, especially since I'm off my arthritis meds for now.

Thank you all for boosting my confidence!!! I’m going to go for it!!
Hey my legs are falling asleep every time I sit. All day it’s happened today. Should I be worried? My legs seem to be where all the weight came from so I assume its something to do with that..

I was given meds to prevent blood clots
Try walking around a bit and see how you feel. Massage them too

I’ve been up a lot today. Actually one of my legs is soar and I’m not sure what’s up.
I’m sorry you got the flu. Wishing you a very speedy recovery. Good job on your 20lbs weight loss
Same here surgery date August 24th down 21 lbs. Last weigh in was last Friday at 177lbs but I feel I might be retaining water or I am about to fall in that famous stall everyone talks about in the 3 ton4 wks period[emoji30] [emoji30] [emoji30] [emoji30] [emoji85]

I've had a rough go with gastric sleeve. I was sleeved on 5/16 and had to have emergency gall bladder surgery 5/21. It took me awhile to recover and start to feel normal again at least 6-8 weeks. After I started to feel normal I started having severe numbness and pain in my calves and feet and was diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy likely due to rapid weight loss and vitamin deficiency. Prior to surgery I was healthy outside of my obesity and I got surgery to avoid health problems in the future and it created (hopefully temporary) problems for me. (Side note my mother died 7/7 as well). The plus is I'm doing everything they tell me to do. I'm taking extra vitamins, doing acupuncture, and the gym 3x per week despite the pain. I also started an instagram to document my progress, provide a distraction, and get support. I will persevere despite the calamities of my life! My HW: 417, SW: 365, CW 286.

No words! Condolences, love and prayers your way! Unimaginable the hard road this has been for you dear. You are one tough lady, and you are doing SO well despite the storms you have weathered! Hang in there and may your best and brightest days still be ahead of you!!

My back was all kinds of messed up after my Sleeve and RNY. Weight fluctuations relieve pressure points and weight distributions and your nerves may be pinched.

Oh joy...

Are Protein bars ok? I’m 2 days shy of 4 weeks and tired of shakes. I found myself hungry last night and I had a pure protein bar, it went down just fine, the whole thing...2g sugar, 180 cal, 21 protein. Thoughts?

That seems pretty good for a protein bar. What were the carbs. I probably wouldn't have as a go to all the time but if the carbs aren't super high, yeah why not.
