@ShianneB how did your surgery go today? Seem to remember this is THE DAY.?
I had my surgery at 10 am today it went really well!! When I woke up I was very nauseous and threw up/coughed up blood a few times (sorry tmi but wanted to share my experience) they stated that was normal because of the tube in my throat. I also had bad chest gas pain so I started walking about 45 minutes after surgery in the recovery room. The nurses were pretty surprised so I guess that’s good ? then they moved me up to my room where I walked again, since then I have switched between walking and sleeping most of the time and I am having very little gas now and my stomach pain is very small, about a 2 out of 10. I am so happy with my experience so far! I felt bad for my neighbor as they had the surgery as well and were begging for food or water. I am not sure they understood they wouldn’t be eating today. But I haven’t felt hungry yet! I brought dry mouth spray and that has been a life saver!
Everybody doing okay TODAY?
Just remembered @YLime is g aving her surgery today., Let's send Good Wishes to her and the other August 14 people. It is a beautiful day for surgery and the start of a NEW chapter of life.

Ran into some crap news today and I just wanted to vent/share with you guys because I had no one else to really talk to. Surgery is on Friday and they said I need a responsible adult there until surgery is done so the surgeon has someone to talk to afterwards and answer questions or something like that. I have a 12 year old autistic son who is afraid of hospitals because his father died slightly less than a year ago in a hospital and he's still traumatized from it, specifically from hospitals. My boyfriend was going to stay home to watch my son, but now we have nobody to take me and stay at the hospital. I've asked all of my available friends, I don't really have family but I asked the one family member I speak to and she's working, and everyone on the boyfriend's side is busy.

I honestly don't want to give up on this journey because my only option is to bring both the BF and son and, in the process, traumatize my son...

I don't really know what to do. I'm trying and praying for someone to step through and say they can help on both my bf and my end..but it isn't looking good. And they don't call until the day before surgery with a specific time, so that kinda hinders anyone from committing to helping.

:( so hard to be excited now.

Hi All. Had my surgery Monday morning. Boy was I not prepared for the pain. I’ve been crying my butt of since yesterday. Took a walk to push myself and almost passed out. ? just started feeling better out of no where. Can’t keep anything cold down at all. I know it will get better though.

@ZeroCool hopefully someone steps up soon to help you Friday.

Heather_A. I’ve been feeling great! I have my post op next week. I’m keeping things down ok. I sip my shakes, takes me about 45 min to finish 11oz but I don’t want to over do it. How’s the weightloss? I’m down 10lbs since surgery.
Hi Mel....I’m doing well! I’ve been moving much more so I’m getting this pulling feeling below my belly button but only when I move which leads me to believe it’s a muscle.
I’ve lost 9 pounds since surgery which is great. I’m getting sick of the full liquid diet though....all I eat is yogurt. It’s getting old ?
