Hey guys!!! I had my surgery on April 25th, exactly 3 weeks ago from today 05/16/2018. I'm currently in the puree stage of my diet which some things I just can't puree without gagging so I chew until it is liquid and always only eat soft foods.
I have lost a total of 7 lbs within those 3 weeks.
Week 1----210
Week 2----206
Week 3----203
I am exactly 5 feet tall and started at 235 which I lost 25lbs before surgery.
I just feel like I am losing incredibly slow. 2.3 lbs just does not seem like enough to me.
Is this normal? I feel helpless and depressed not knowing what I am doing wrong.
I know that I am having a difficult time getting fluids and protein in however I am exercising like crazy (cardio until I'm cleared for strength). My calories rarely go over 700 if not 400 and I know a lot of people are going to mention starvation mode.
We're already pretty much in starvation mode with the 2 week liquid diet so I'm not sure it is that because everyone else I read on here has lost 15+ lbs within this time frame on a liquid diet and low calorie intake in the beginning.
I could really use some advice or at least someone who has a similar journey so I can not feel so alone. Also successes would be nice to hear in case there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
Thanks guys!
