Day 6 post op. Feeling a little more normal each day. No pain meds at all today. I did get pretty dizzy ... I waited to long time have my soup for lunch. I guess with so few calories right now, I need to stay on track with food/protein shake timing. I’m on the count down to very soft/mushy food this Friday. I had a ton of pain with one of my incisions. It was pretty rough even with Percocet and the abdominal binder. But that pain is pretty much very dull now - so no pain meds and I ditched the abdominal binder- it was not comfortable at all. I hope all of the other June sleepers that have made it to the “other side” are doing well! I also hope hat everyone coming up has a safe surgery and speedy recovery.
Also - I cannot tell when I am full or hungry. It’s so weird. I have to set a timer to eat and keep up with water. Anyone else experience this? I just follow the amounts of food outlined in my diet book for the phase that I am in ... but do not really get any feelings or signs when I am hungry or full.

I am day 5 as well, after I was able to get free from gas pain I stopped all medications. Pain is not too bad, it is worst when getting in and out of bed. Because of the gas pain I started to walk more frequently and as long as I needed. I am not feeling tired or lack of energy. I liked Premier Protein before when I used to drink the whole thing at once, sipping on it is horrible. My problem is that everything that is sugar free has a horrible after taste. I am also looking forward cottage cheese and eggs. I was just reviewing my phase 2 diet and I just found out that cottage cheese is allowed. Guess who is going to Publix tomorrow do some shopping.
I replied to your post - but not sure it linked back to this or not! See below! Happy post-op recovery!!

After reading all the early June post op sleevers it’s making me more excited for June 14th

@MrsLingo good luck tmro!! so exciting

OMG I'm so nervous! I get sleeved today!!! My alarm goes off in 2 minutes, but I've been wide awake for 30.. lol! I had a dream I slept through my alarm and woke up at the time I was supposed to check in... And did the whole mad dash to get there, but was too late.

Thank goodness that was just a dream!!!

I have a lot of mixed emotions this morning though. Am I doing the right thing? Or am I brave? Am I going to be successful? Will I fail at this like I've failed so many other times? So many feelings!

Either way, it's time to get up! Please keep me in your thoughts today... This is my first ever surgery and I'm pretty scared!

Good luck sparkle&storm. The worst will be over soon, and then you’ll be feeling better and on to the next step in your journey!

@Disrey1991 Thank you ???????

I just weighed in for the first time since the surgery and I lost 6 pounds in one week. That is 14 lbs since the liquid diet, or 6% of my weight. Pre op and post-op liquid diets are not easy but let's keep our eyes on the price :)

To the sleevers getting surgery today, I have you in my thoughts. [emoji173]

June 25th in Mexico! I have had 4 friends go to Dr. Verboonen and have had excellent outcome! My turn!!! W238 BMI 36!

Got sleeved June 2nd... 10 lbs lost and doing great! I started eating mushy food already or my doctors orders. In the morning I eat 1 egg or less. Lunch is like 2 oz of tuna or tilapia fish, protein shake once or twice a day and dinner a jello, cheesstick and electrolytes and any leftover lunch.

Thank you all for the encouragement! Honesyly, I'm in a ton of pain... That gas pain is no joke! And swallowing the tiny droplet of water from an ice chil is so very painful.

My left abdomen is hugely swollen and tender, which makes it hard to find a comfortable position. My roommate is a chatty Cathy with lights on all night...

Those are the downsides at the moment. But I KNOW good things are around the corner! So I keep going on walks and pushing through the pain. It will be worth it! I can't wait to get home to my own bed lol

Good luck!! It's not a fun experience, but we will survive and emerge healthier and stronger on the other side!!

So sorry your in pain, hope the gas passes quickly, so you’ll be on your way to a speedy recovery! I go today for my pre-op check in and my sleeve is scheduled for Monday the 18th at 6:00 AM.
