Congrats on the successful surgery and the recovery time seems like it’s going well for you! [emoji1417][emoji1417]

This is one of those things I am thinking over and over in my head about still feeling hungry after the procedure.

Have you really thought about and learned what is real hunger and what is Head hunger? How do you manage? I’m halfway through the early stages and I’m SO nervous!

Thank you! I am feeling great in such a short period of time. I have learned so much already. It’s different for everyone. I was told that I wasn’t even going to be hungry at all after the procedure. WRONG. I definitely was a little hungry but more so having cravings. I finally realized that all the rumbles and noises going on in my stomach only really happen when I am eating something, not because I am hungry. It seems to be content when I am only sipping on Water. Although I am still craving stuff, I try every thing to keep my mind off of it and just keep sipping, and walking. I’m still working on everything myself but again everyone is different and could be the complete opposite for you! Just stay positive and roll with the punches as they come [emoji3] hope that helps

I had my surgery on 4/23 and I'm starving too! Going through the exact same thing except my stomach growls when I'm hungry and after I drink broth or my Premier Protein drink. I'm just hoping Monday for soft foods gets here soon; I have tried to eat refried Beans and they feel like they get stuck going down. After a few small bites I'm like ohhhh this feels horrible! Hang in there!

I was starving the morning after surgery. My stomach was literally growling, it was awful. I didn’t start to feel good until soft foods.

I had my sleeve done on 4/24. I was uncomfortable for two days and had the most trouble with liquids. Taking my medications with a sip of Water was torture. Now for the last two days, I have had the most delicious puréed foods. My mom made me homemade chicken noodle Soup that I put in my Ninja. Omg, so good. My friend made me low fat potato soup, also put in the Ninja. Fantastic. I ok’d the foods with my doctor amd he’s cool with it. It seems I am ahead of schedule on what I am eating as most people are on liquids only less than one week out. I’m both happy and nervous about that. I hope I’m doing this right.

Thank you Lisa! Today I had low fat cottage cheese; it was great. I also had a Tablespoon of natural Peanut Butter. I have lost 6 pounds in 6 days so I'm very happy and I'm walking too. How are you doing?

I feel pretty great! I am super nervous that it’s too easy to eat when so many others like yourself feel limited. My stomach is stil physically sore on the outside but I’m getting around great. I find more walking is better. I hope you are feeling better!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
