That is awesome laurend! You have got to be so proud! I'll bet they take back the shorts even without a receipt...just exchange for a smaller size!

Whoo - hoo Laurend. I can't wait to get there.

LJM - I'm really, really glad that my work blocks images! (However, I'm sick and will probably look at home later...)

Okay I have two words: Yuck! Ouch!

You got that from running? Did the doctor take it off all the way for you or did you?

Okay...for some reason work blocks it on LBT, but not on your blog. Wow...from running? No wonder I hate exercise.

This is gross...not for squeamish - though there are no pictures.

Ex-BF and I used to take turns getting drunk at our annual Jimmy Buffett concerts. That way one could be DD and laugh at everyone else for being so piss-drunk that they get stupid.

One year, bf got so drunk he couldn't step into the port-a-john and instead his toe went under the ledge and his toenail went above it. But, he was so drunk he didn't feel, and tried again to get into the john. Well, this time he full out kicked the structure over, and grabbed it to steady himself and it and all its contents came spilling out onto the newly ripped open toe.

Thank goodness for on-site medical care.

That was pretty nasty and ugly right up until it fell off, which was about a week later.

Damn, LJM, looks sore. I lost two toenails one time from doing a long walk. (when I was thin and worked out). Mine came back just fine. Hope yours does. What a guy that DH is to take care of it for you. My toenails are just plain UGLY anyway.

its from upping my mileage ... will more than likely lose it again - or more...

DH was great with taking care of it - although he did say it was the most disgusting thing he's ever done ...

on a good note - it didnt/doesnt hurt at all ...

Laurend: Way to go!!!

LJM: I think you may have just given me another reason not to take up running.

BBK: Welcome back, how are you feeling?

lol...I am still here. You can never loose me LJM! lol...

I was pissed off yesterday because of the revision talk at the PS already. And my port hurts like hell and he basically blew it off. I am better today...lol...I am kinda over it today I guess. I am going to my Bariatric surgeon in a few weeks, even though the PS told me not to.

What did I miss while I was gone? Any new storms? lol...

Why would your PS tell you not to go to your BS about a problem with your BS?

Yeah...what she said! That smells of a quack Doc to me. :wink2:

They're talking revision? How does that work?

Sorry what you've experienced has been so rough!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
