Hmmm. That is a good question. I believe they only apply towards Protein. I could be wrong though. I only apply them to Protein as they make me feel dehydrated at times.

It does feel like the Protein is drying me out too.

Yeah, I would feel really thirsty after drinking one. I think its due to the Protein. I just wait 30 minutes and then drink Water.

Protein Drinks counts toward liquid. But like many, my RD wanted an additional 36oz just from clear liquids--not counting the Protein drinks. But no issues for me, cuz I was doing 64oz per day by day 2 out of the hospital. And, I love Water, so no issues there...

I was told the Water or skim milk you use in your shake counts but the other ingredients don’t. So I’m you make a 12 oz shake that has yogurt and Protein Powder and 8 oz of Fluid, you would count just the 8 oz. Broths count as liquids as do sugar free popsicles.

LOL, at the point where Matty is, I was only doing Premier Protein, so it was a 1 and done. I've not graduated to "complex" shakes yet--but hope to get the green light for frozen spinach and fruit smoothies again! Can't wait to make Dr. Weiner's set point smoothie!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
