Gas after gastric sleeve surgery

Has anyone else had excessive gas after gastric sleeve surgery? What did you do to alleviate the discomfort that comes with it? Or how did you get rid of the gas?

I have more gas but it's not that painful. I just fart. It stinks more than it ever did before though, oowhee

I have lots of gas but it won’t pass and it’s just stuck in my stomach. Ugh. It just sits there. Very uncomfortable.

I just joined to ask the exact same question lol. I am 14 months post op and my farts are more often, louder and more stinky!! Ugh! I just assume it's all the protein. I have read gas-x helps? Is there anything that can help with the smell?
