Got my Surgery Date!!!! :) 4/2/18! Calling out any April surgery buddies!!!!

Got my Surgery date today! Its going to be on April 2nd, 2018 day after Easter...:) can't wait!!! I wanted it this month but this gives me an extra week to plan!

Doc says he is doing a triple on me...Duodenal Switch, fixing hiatal hernia and taking my gall bladder out too! Lord!!!!

So I will be on 2 week liver reduction diet, 1 week shakes snacks and lean and green and then the dreaded liquid week 5 shakes a day! ughhhh! lol cant wait for that lolol NOT!!! Since I know I don't have to start this until 2 weeks before my date , but I feel like I should start early on the lean and green that way i can lose a little more weight before my date.

While I was at the doctor's office I picked up all my shakes stuff and snacks and b complex and that isopure stuff. Anyway wanted to share with everyone. I am beyond Excited!

Any April surgery buddies out there?

The liquid diet went great no probs. Maybe because my dad passed away and I was no way in the mood to eat anything[emoji22] bless Dad . [emoji120]

All done! surgery was yesterday 4/2 had a triple surgery. Duo denal switch, gall bladder removed and hiatal hernia repaired.
Woke up and felt a lot of pain in my stomach . Still pain day 2 here at hospital . They are keeping me another night . But I’m drinking my liquids and getting my walks in. Doing all three procedures was definitely no walk in the park ! But I’m glad my surgeon did it all in under 2 hours. So now I lay in the bed at hospital and takin my pain medicine every few hours . I’ll keep post updates for everyone[emoji3]

Stay glamorous, stay cool, your body has been through a lot in a couple hours. Practice the 3 good things, sip, walk and [emoji2], life will start to be new and improved once the tenderness dissipates. Way to,go,Ms Glamgirl!![emoji106]

Thank you frust8[emoji3]

Hey glamgirl! I was sleeved on 4/2 also. I had a hiatal hernia repair too. I'm still in a lot of pain and there is swelling over the large incision. I pray that you have a speedy recovery. Sip, walk and smile is the best advice I hears so far. My friend that I met at one of the nutrition classes had her sleeve on 4/2 also and she is in no pain. So it really just depends on each person and you had a lot of stuff done!! Hang in there and please keep us posted [emoji4]

Mine is April 17th!!!!

Mine too!

My surgery date is April 10th! Excited and a little nervous. I am having a Gastric Sleeve and Hiatal Hernia repair. I have been doing well on the liquid diet even over the Easter weekend, it was tough but got through it. Did anyone else have this done at the same time and was able to go home the next day? Thanks for any comments

Thank you for the kind words . Sorry about your pain. It will get better. Also did u weigh yourself ? I drank water only while in the hospital and I came home today and the scale reads I’ve gained 12 pounds!!! What??? I’m not happy about this. Is this normal?? How could this even be? I’m checking scale
Again tomorrow and calling my surgeon! Has anyone ever experienced this?

My surgery is tomorrow and I’m having both done. My doctor said as long as I can swallow and keep fluids down I’ll be released the next day.
