  3. Hello all!!! I am 2 years out from BPD-DS and in maintenance. I started out at over 400 lbs and in the 150's now. I am healthier, happier and just overall doing well.....except for the intimacy department. I've been married for 12 years. My husband is obese and he was not terribly supportive of my decision to have surgery. He now thinks I'm too skinny and will sometimes make comments about my loose skin or the fact that I'm not the girl he married (physically), my breasts are practicallynon-existant. Now onto the sex----I have a very healthy sexual appetite, especially now post surgery. I'm 36 and enjoy physical intimacy, touching, and feeling connected. The husband is hardly interested in having sex at all anymore and at first I tried to look past that, but it's becoming harder and harder. I don't think I'm unattractive...but the fact that he doesn't initiate or show intimacy is really wearing on our marriage. I have tried to initiate sex 3 times this week and have been ignored each time. I don't know what to do!!! I love my husband, but I cannot spend the rest of my life with that lack of intimacy.
  4. I agree that they should be called to the carpet for this! It is completely inappropriate and unacceptable behavior! Contact an administrator at the hospital and request a sit down with them to address the behaviors of their employees. If not for yourself, do it for all the other prospective patients they have spoken about or treated poorly.

  6. Thanks so much!! I love the support on this forum!! ??
  7. Hello ladies!!!! My highest weight was 437 before I decided to change my life. I started seeing my dietician and worked my butt off to drop to 376 before DS surgery. I've lost 27 pounds in the first month post op and finally am starting to feel better. I have hit a stall the last few days, just hanging out... not losing, not gaining. It's so frustrating! I have to remind myself that this is a marathon, not a sprint. Congratulations on everyone's success!!
  8. I hear you, I thought I was going to pass out when I stood up after I shaved my legs! I'm exhausted and I'm 4 days post DS surgery. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  9. Omg, I am so glad there isn't something wrong with me!! I'm only 4 days post op and starving!!!! I'm mostly just angry that I can't eat normal foods. This broth, jello, water s*it is not cutting it. I understand why....but for friggs sake, I thought post op was supposed to be easier, not harder. 11. Hey Glamgirl! This is my first post since surgery on April 18th and I feel like I got run over by a truck. I hope that's normal! I'm exhausted and getting enough liquids is a challenge for sure, especially since I have the dreaded "D" (diarrhea). I'm so glad to hear that you are doing well! I keep telling myself it will get better!! Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

  15. I think the hardest part is preparing meals for my family (I have 3 littles), so not taste testing or nibbling is ridiculously hard. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

  20. I am going through a similar situation. My husband tells me that having surgery is the easy way out and that he's afraid I'll fail and then get even more depressed about my weight. He is as also morbidly obese and I suspect that he's afraid I might not want him if I "get skinny". I'm guessing your hubby might feel the same way. I've already scheduled my surgery for April 18th and although I respect my husband's opinion, nobody will stand in the way of my choice. It is your health and your body. Best wishes to you on your journey! Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
