I told on another one of the postings I have sinusitis currently, PCP told me to take a temporary holiday from my C pap, the other night and into the next day,i could not sleep, think i was awake 36 hours. So i put it on for 4 hours last night so I could rest better. Maybe it will prolong my nose problems a day or 2, but which is worse? Stuffiness or lack of sleep?

Just did my test at the sleep Center last night. I took 2 Ibuprofen PM. I was sleeping pretty good from 10 pm until 1:30 am. They woke me and put CPAP mask on me. I didn’t sleep worth a darn after that. Waiting for final results.

I have Aetna and they approved my surgery before I even scheduled a sleep study. It was the surgeon that wanted it and I have to bring my CPAP to surgery. Turns out I did have apnea and this machine has resolved my morning headaches and need for a nap!

I’ve been using my CPAP for several years now. For a few years I hated it and only wore it part of the time. Then I started paying more attention to the medical studies tying all kinds of illnesses to unresolved sleep apnea. Now I wear it religiously and my energy level is so much better. Like you said, fewer headaches, no daytime drowsiness, and no soaked sheets from night sweats. I’m three days post-op and I’m told that once my weight is off, there’s a good chance my sleep apnea will be resolved too.

I just got my machine. I have a bi pap machine. I had to have two sleep apnea tests in the hospital overnight twice. I didn't mind it at all. I can't use my machine yet as I have had a terrible cough and flu for the last 3 weeks.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
