Defilled, then refilled, but not working now!

Hi Guys,

Just wanted to know if anyone else has had the same problem I'm having. I got my band in June, all went well. I got a fill to 3cc and was just rocking, the weight was dropping off me like a hot knife off butter, better still my head was not being messed up by my food issues, I'd craked it, I was so happy. Then, whilst way I got the most horrible blockage, I threw my guts up but still couldn't seem to feel any better. I managed to get an emercency defill and felt instantly better. My clinic wanted me to wait 2 weeks before I was filled again which I did. In that 2 weeks I felt the pull back to food, my head getting caught up with constantly thinking of food. No problem I thought, I'm getting my fill soon. I've now had 3 fills and "NOTHING". I was at 3cc with amazing restriction and now I'm at 5cc with nothing.....ZIP! I've put on 15 llbs and feel so low. The clinic don't feel I've slipped as I have no pain, no throwing up, I have nothing. Has anyone else had this problem? Have I just not found my sweet spot agian? Why did I get such good restriction with 3cc and now nothing with 5cc??? Any words of advice would be welcome.:faint::whoo::think

Did you get your fill under fluoro? You should get your band position checked as well as size of esophagus and pouch. Under fluoro you can also see if perhaps there is a leak.

You do not always have symptoms with a slip.

I have a stretched pouch,, and have been UNFILLED FOR 2, GOING ON 3 MONTHS.. I WENT today for a fill and Dr. said I am still stretched, but NOT SLIPPED>..So I am just going to stay unfilled and really watch what I eat so I dont gain any more weight.. I will take some weight gain over ANOTHER SLIPPED BAND, MY COST TO FIX A SLIPPED BAND IS 5000.

I am a happy camper today

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
