Thought I was doing well but no...

Recommended Posts

I've really been doing well since surgery, getting all my Protein and fluids in with little problem. The only problem I have is ever since surgery my incision that the doc removed my stomach has been extremely painful and I've had a severe pain in my right middle back that won't go away. I went in for my 2 week post op appointment and the Doctor said there is no way you can be having gallbladder problems this soon! But sent me for an ultrasound anyway. Just my luck, I have to have my gallbladder out next week. Geez Louise, this happen to anyone else?

wow so sorry! I wonder why they didn't take it out during your switch surgery? Unless you didn't have stones pre op? I am going ask my surgeon if he plans to remove mine. I have a couple gall stones so I am hoping he does and its safe.

Yes! I had my gallbladder out years ago and I didn’t realize how much it had been affecting me until it was gone! I bet you will be feeling better quite soon!

Angy, had you ever had gall bladder pain before weight loss surgery? I have had pain but it went away as long as I watch what I eat... another thing to tell my surgeon before surgery! ughh

I thought I did once but it was not like this, so maybe not. This pain is bad and constant. I cannot get relief in any position and right now I'm still on full liquids so not eating any fatty foods. I'll just be glad when it's over!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
