First NSV and always comes bad with the good

Recommended Posts

So today I had my first NSV today! I was getting ready to go to the Drs and I just randomly grabbed some jeans. They were not my normal size they were a size down from that and they fit perfect even with a bit of room! I was so excited. So the bad was that I was putting on said jeans yo be tested for the flu. And of course I have the flu and am starting tamilu .one. day. all. The. Things. Will. go.right.
I seriously want to hit the gym now. But I feel like I've been hit with a truck full of bricks. I want normalcy.lol

Congrats on your NSV - that's awesome!!! I haven't tried on a pair of jeans for ages as I got sick of disappointment. Might try now I'm on track! As for your flu - that sucks. It's a particularly bad season. Keep well hydrated and hope you feel better soon xx

For us acronym deficient patients, what does NSV stand for?

Congrats on the down size, and I hope you get to feeling better soon!

I might be wrong...but I think she means "non-scale victory"

Kinda like... "hey, I got into a narrow booth at a restaurant today and my tummy didn't touch the table" or.. "I lost an inch off my neck" or.... "I had great sex in a position I haven't tried in years!"

Progress not measured in pounds.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
