Surgery in 5 days, think having one drink on pre-op liquid diet would be bad?

I am having surgery on Tuesday and am going to a halloween party tonight. I dont want to look like a total bore, do you think having one ounce of alcohol mixed with a diet coke would be bad days before surgery??

I don't think it will be bad. It will come out in your urine. lol just don't put too much booze.

You could just drink the diet coke and let people think it had the rum in it or volunteer to be the designated driver.

Hi mms83,

I would'nt stress as I had 1/2 bottle of Moet with some mates as a last fizzy drink toast before the op. It was ~ 3pm the day before my op which was ~ 11am. I didnt tell the doc as it should have gone through the liver and system during the night.

I had a glass of wine last night and my surgery is Thursday. It may be my last glass for awhile. I enjoyed it! :(
