  1. I was banded on the 30th and feeling great! I lost 10.5 pounds on my 2 week pre-op diet and as of Monday at my primarcy care physician check up I was up to losing 21. 21 is 3 weeks, I am definitely not complaining! Guess it is making these hunger pains a little easier to deal with knowing it is working. Cant wait to start full liquids on Tuesday. I may actually try something this weekend if I am still hungry (which I am sure will be the case.) Glad you all are doing well!
  2. I am having surgery on Tuesday and am going to a halloween party tonight. I dont want to look like a total bore, do you think having one ounce of alcohol mixed with a diet coke would be bad days before surgery??
  3. I am finishing up on day 10 of the optifast diet and have lost about 10 pounds. I walk about 1.5 to 2 miles 4-5 times a week. I have noticed on the days I drink more water I lose more. Just washing the system out I suppose.
  4. I am finishing day 10 of my liquid diet and its going well. I have adjusted pretty well to all liquids. I have 5 Optifast shakes a day and then can have sugar free Jello and sugar free popsicles. I have eaten broth a few times but not too much. Definitely drinking lots of Water and getting a few more diet cokes in before Tuesday! Good luck!
  5. My surgery is scheduled for Oct. 30. I was required to start a liquid diet today . Basically, Optifast, chicken broth, sugar free Jello, but i can still drink diet coke and other diet soft drinks. I also went to my primary care physician today and my Bariatric Dr required a chest xray and ekg. The ekg took no time at all.
