Who shares my Happy Band Day 10-29-07?

So we are officially 1 week post op. How are ya'll doing? I am pretty darn good, and going to work tomorrow for the first time since surg. Still am having a little feeling of stomach swelling from time to time, but overall way less sore. Lost 13 # on my less than 2 week high protein, low carb diet and have lost 3 more since the day of surgery. I'm happy about that, still on full liquid diet, I think for 1 more week. Good luck to you all and I wish you a speedy recovery and great success.

Sounds like you are doing great! My date is 12/17 so I figure I will start my liquid diet after Thanksgiving. I am hoping that I feel ok by Christmas especially since my husband told his parents that he could cook Christmas dinner at our house (but what I want to know is who is going to clean the house before everyone comes over?) Congtratulations again.:clap2:

Hey!! i got banded on the 29th also how everything going with you?

So far sooo good!! Im 9 day's post op an starting to get my hunger back other then trying to control that im fine.

I was banded on the 30th and feeling great! I lost 10.5 pounds on my 2 week pre-op diet and as of Monday at my primarcy care physician check up I was up to losing 21. 21 is 3 weeks, I am definitely not complaining! Guess it is making these hunger pains a little easier to deal with knowing it is working. Cant wait to start full liquids on Tuesday. I may actually try something this weekend if I am still hungry (which I am sure will be the case.) Glad you all are doing well!

mms83, way to go. I know what you mean, about the hunger. My first several days post op, I went to bed hungry every nite. I just kept telling myself, this is only temporary, because the fluids are going right through. When I get the the soft or mushy stage it will be better, I'm sure. Maybe even experience satiety on some level!!! I am in the zone, focused and ready to do what I need to do. Best wishes on your journey as well....Victoria52
