Oct 07 Bandsters - how are you doing?
Ok october bandsters I need your support and advise. I just booked another small fill. I am at 7cc so on my 4th. I can still eat more than a cup of food. I have a hard time with bread but not with cookies! I have been making some very bad food choices. I still work out and will not give up the excersise but I think I am only loosing about 1lb per week. I know if I made better choices I could loose more. HELP.

Oct 07 Bandsters - how are you doing?
Robin. I have lost 32 lb. I have not changed my status for a while till I get down to the 220's! that is my goal. I was nervous too with the first few fills but OMG my 4th was amazing. Made such a huge difference! I have been losing 1-2lbs a week and I am trying to ramp that up to 2-3. I am not one to want to loose too quickly I think 2-3 would be great and I am still eating what I like just in smaller portions and counting calories. Best of luck to you guys and keep me posted how you are doing.

favorite foods you can no longer eat
Trust me you will learn to enjoy other foods. I am loving my band. I can no longer eat Bagels but I still take a little bite off the kids! It hurts but I still taste it. I tase the burgers too but I never eat a whole one. And ya me too I eat mostly the toppings off the pizza.

liquids while eating
This is a very hard habit to break. I have been working at it since august before banding. The reason for this is not to empty your pouch. You do not want to flush the food into the lower part of your stomach otherwise you will not be full. I can say that I have been really working hard at it and I know that I am full if I do not drink with meals. I think if you search there should be some older posts about this somewhere. good luck

Oct 07 Bandsters - how are you doing?
Hey everyone. I just wanted to give you an update on my 4th fill. I am at 7cc now and I can really feel the difference. I lost 3lbs since my last fill 2 weeks ago and I am excited about that! I know it is slow but it is going down not up! I am increasing my excersise this week and I think this fill will help me stay off the bread etc.... I can really feel the difference and I am really in touch with the "FULL" signal. I hope you fellow Oct bandsters are staying on the bandwagon. Take care Nancy

Side Pain
I did go to my GP and was told most likely it is gas pain. It does go away. BJean you should go to your GP and let him know.

Oct 07 Bandsters - how are you doing?
Butterball you hit the nail on the head. I could not have said it better myself! I feel exactly the same way. I am learning to love my band for the way it keeps me from eating bread, bagels, burgers etc..! I have found that as soon as something does not go down or hurts I am turned off by eat so it forces me to make better choices.

Please put me straight on my diet...
It really is different I think for everyone. I have read so much on this website, spoken to different people and everyone is different. Some do not look at carbs and just count calories. The good thing about protein is it keeps you full! My best protein is Almond Butter

Please put me straight on my diet...
I have to tell you the Calorie Counter, Diet Tracking, Food Journal, Nutrition Facts at The Daily Plate is wonderful. Track your foods for a couple days and you will see exactly how many carbs, protein calories etc... It made me realize I could have alot more healthy food and less calories. I track everything even if I am having a bad day. I looked at it last week and said to myself now was 3 cookies worth the 300 calores fat etc... ya maybe 1 was but not 3! It helped me make better choices this week, like Kashi Crunch cereal for breakfast! Tuna melt with low fat cheese and only 1 slice of weight watchers bread. Just some thoughts hope it works for you.

Side Pain
I was banded in mid October and keep getting side cramps. I can only describe this as when you are running really fast and then stop and take a drink of water and you get that side pain. This pain shifts from my right to my left. I even wake up with it! Has anyone had this experience? I think I have had this for about 3 weeks now.
