  • I really enjoyed all three David Cook's performances. You just can't take it away from Archuleta though. The boy has some pipes. I hope someone gets 'hold of him and helps him create a better image.

I confess I am an American Idol Junkie. I vote every season and am passionate about the results. I encourage all of my coworkers and family to vote. I have noticed the decline of interest over each season but I keep staying glued to my TV every week and love every minute of it!!!

I hate to admit I am addicted. I love to sing and have always talked myself out of auditioning myself because it's all a popularity gig anyway and the AI people only put though those who are going to make their "ratings" better, not actually the people who sing the best.

Anyway, I hate when the seasons begin with the auditions and people acting like idiots just so they can get a shot on TV. Once they actually get to Hollywood is when I get really interested and I am hooked until the end.

I have always wanted to audition too! I agree, it is a popularity contest. Maybe when I get to goal I'll have the guts to audition......probably not, but hey, a girl can dream.

I hate the beginning part of it too. I don't watch it until they have selected the final 12 ( I think it's 12 when it really gets started?)

Then I really love it!

My daughters got me into AI during the second season and now I watch it all the time, while they hardly have time to watch. I just can't wait until we get through the hours of lousy auditions before we get into the real competition.
