I realize I provided no help to get ready lol...

Start stocking up on Protein Shakes, Protein powders, and sugar free popsicles, crystal lite, etc-- get a few different flavors, you'll get bored

Treat yourself to some comfy sweatpants and tops for recovery if you don't have some already.

My hospital bag had clothes, toiletries, my kindle, make up, and more and I used maybe 5% of what I brought. I was in a hospital gown the entire time and only changed my underwear each day lol never took a shower because I didn't get dirty or sweaty, brushed my teeth and washed my face and that was it. It's always good to have things in case you want it but you will most likely overpack. Also, I didn't use the gas-x I brought, but you should bring some.

One thing I did bring and so happy I did was biotene mouthwash. You can't drink anything before or directly after your surgery and your mouth gets dry. I rinsed with it twice and it was such a huge help!!

It's also nice to have a pillow in your car. I held mine against my stomach as my husband drive to keep it more stable. It was a good thing to have.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
