My surgery was back on the 30th and with everyday that passes things have gotten easier. Today is my first roadblock. I woke up and have no energy. I mean I could barely get out of bed. I started my Protein Shakes yesterday. Im sure I will get some energy soon. I know my body is still getting used to the surgery. Is anyone having or had the same issue and what did u do? Thanks

It's normal to have low energy the first few weeks after surgery because your body is healing and you are only getting a small amount of carbs and calories. I remember having to rest frequently for the first few weeks. Listen to your body, you will start to have more energy when you get to a point that you can take in more for hydration and fuel. You will feel a little better every day.

However, if you have other symptoms with it, like running a fever, or getting sweaty and shaky, call your doc asap.

Being tired is normal for the first few weeks. Your body is healing and you're getting fewer nutrients. It should pass.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
