Hummus...mmm, a favorite! Snap peas, cauliflower, carrots, broccoli, and even pita chips. I’m also almost 9mo out.

Bag of baby carrots, pumpernickel bread wedges, whole grain wasa crackers:)

Also, if you haven't, try hummus on a sandwich/pita/wrap.....hot. It's delicious and common in other parts of the world.

Hummus is easy to make. Just chick peas, garlic, olive oil, lemon and sesame paste... zap it in the food processor...takes just a few minutes and fresh is so good! (maybe a little cumin or paprika)

I have found lentil chips - baked, full of Protein, make me as happy as potato crisps, and great with hummus!

What does everyone eat with hummus besides a spoon.

I've never eaten a spoon. :-)

I have a thin coating of hommus on a Ryvita crispbread before adding shaved chicken or sliced poached egg or Tomato or avocado or some combination thereof.

I use it as a veggie dip -- celery, carrots, radishes. Sometimes peppers. Sometimes I'll also put it on a turkey burger.

Are you talking about shortly post-op, OP? I've been wondering the same thing. My favorite hummus vehicle is warm, soft, fluffy pita but I know bread doesn't go down well for awhile, too Gummy. So I'm thinking maybe mixed in with Beans? Or just, like you said, eaten with a spoon.

There are delicious high-fiber crackers that are made with seeds and super healthy. I like the Mary's Gone Crackers brand the best and they have a few herb flavors. Found them at Target and food Lion but I'm sure they're at other places too.

Where do you find lentil chips?

75% of Australian supermarkets have them.

Trader Joe’s has them. Be careful, they can cause painful gas if you eat too many; however, i binged on them last year before surgery. Probably would get too full on them, especially with hummus, before it would get to that point now since the sleeve.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
