My package was submitted to my insurance last week. A hospital authorization popped up on my insurance record dated 1/18. Not sure what that means, but I'm just patiently waiting for my insurance decision, whether an approval or denial. I'm the most impatient person so the wait is killing me.

I figure, if approved, I'll probably be scheduled for mid to late March. I really can't believe how quickly the last 6 months have gone, but these last few weeks are dragging by. My final appointment was last Monday but seems like last year.

This site is a great source of information. I can't tell you how much of a help it has been through this journey. [emoji3]

I'm in Michigan, too. My paperwork was sent into Insurance on Jan 17th, I still haven't heard back. :'( I'm hoping to hear back asap!

I keep calling my insurance company. I know they are probably tired of it but I'm anxious. Lol Hopefully we all get our approvals soon. where are you getting your procedure done?

You're not the only one anxious! I haven't called my insurance company, but I do login to my account several times a day to see if there's anything new. I see an authorization for the hospital, but that's all. Each day I wake up hopeful that I'll get that approval call.

My file was submitted to insurance 4 business days ago, after reading a lot of forums and support groups, I called the insurance line today. They said they are waiting for medical records from the doctor. ??‍♀️ Guess who has a voicemail waiting for them tomorrow morning, my referral/insurance coordinator. We are about to be best friends.

I didn't know you could call your insurance to find out the status. So I just called and they said I need to ask my provider/doctor. I'll call tomorrow. I'm in Kalamazoo and that's also where i'll be getting my surgery. I hope everyone hears back soon. I'm really looking forward to getting my surgery date. Y'all should post here when you get your dates, too!

My insurance company told me it's still under review. I'll definitely post my date on here once I finally get it! Good luck everyone!!!

I emailed my doctor's office this morning to get a status update. No word yet.

Oh no! I feel like I should call for mine but I don't want them getting tired of me calling every day. I just want to know already! Praying we will get our approvals soon.

I called my insurance once again this morning and was told that I will have an answer by February 6th. Apparently my file gets reviewed by a nurse before approval. Yayyyy!!!! I marked my calendar!
