Mentally preparing for pre-op diet

Recommended Posts

My surgery is on 01/16. I start my pre-op diet on 01/02. Excited and nervous all at the same time. So surprised at the many variations in a pre-op diet in here.

My surgery is on Jan 15 and I start the liquid diet Jan 1st. I am nervous about it too. I'm hoping that distractions will help me get through it. Gonna toss all other food out this weekend.

Ohhh boy I just finished my pre op liquid diet and it was tough. Specially threw the holidays. Take it one day at a time. I did a 14 day liquid diet and lost 8 lbs. I had my surgery the day after christmas and I'm now back on liquid diet for 3 weeks.

Stay strong and don't cheat if you can, this is all for the better.

Surgery date is the 17th. And I start my diet Jan. 3rd.

Me too! Traveling right now and when I get back home it’s right on the Diet. Good luck!

Stay strong. The pre-op diet gets easier after day 4 or so. Best wishes for your surgery.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
