Hi Hon,

I am lucky that I didnt have to wait to qualify ( UK self pay) I know that you have to do all sorts that would have really disheartened me!

Congratualtions on getting this far!

Dont worru about the surgery hon, I am 5 days out and other than being tender I feel fine.

Keep strong!

NIna x

I know exactly how you feel! I also had to do the 6 month Doctor Supervised Weight Loss Program for my insurance. I started in March and ended in August. Before I was finished with the 6 months I got everything else out of the way (psych eval. and visit with the nutritionist, etc.). I have had to do so many things to prepare for this surgery and it is not easy, but you just have to think about the big picture. Think about how the lap-band can change your life. My surgery is finally scheduled for tomorrow, and I could not be more excited! So yes, it is a long journey, but I really think that it will be worth all the waiting. Hang in there, it will be through before you know it!

weight.png

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water. Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
