I start my pre-op diet tomorrow as well. I like your outlook, I hadn't considered it that way. Positive way to look at it!

I started my pre-op last monday mine last for 4 weeks.

In my doc office it is 4x Optifast /day and 1 veggie cup per meal but I haven't been able to take them.

Good luck :780_sparkling_heart:

I'm on day seven of the liquid diet from hell. (surgery December 5th) I'm hungry and grumpy. I would not wish this diet on my worst enemy.

5 premier Proteins, sugar free Jello, sugar free Popsicles, broth...and 100 calories of either cream of wheat or yogurt.

it's ghastly, and I miss food.

On the other hand....i'm waking up almost a pound lighter every day, and it's a good mental prep for the psychological crazy of the post surgical diet.

I do feel prepared for what I'm about to undertake.

I would of loved to be able to have broth... I mean check vanilla, chocolate or strawberry flavor gets old... quickly .

7.5/28 days. I am so envious at people who only have two week's from what I saw normally people have 1-2 week and not 2-4 week like my surgeon office does.... :55_frowning:

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
