Dr won't give fill for 3 months!

Recommended Posts

My doctor doesn't give fills for 3 months after banding. I have an appointment January 17, 2008! That sounds like FOREVER away! How in the world and I supposed to be able to keep losing with no restriction! I haven't have trouble with anything I've eaten so far. And I feel like I am eating more than what I should be eating to fill me up. I do see that I'm eating less than before but it's still more than I thought I would be able to eat. On one hand I am glad I will get to enjoy the holidays, and all the holiday foods, without having to adjust to a fill but I hate having to wait so long!!

That seems like a long time....Had my surgery on 10.12 @ the Surgery Ctr @ Rcdn TX, first fill is a month later 11.12.

That doesn't sound right, maybe he put a touch in at the time of placement. I'd be pissed if I had to wait that long. My first fill was 4 weeks after surgery.....it's been a long time, I think that's when it was, lol.

Take your business elsewhere. Inamed recommends 6 weeks out. And then 4 more weeks for the second fill.

To make you wait 12 weeks for your first fill is against recommendations.

I'd fire him/her.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
