I had my sleeve done two days ago. When I was in the hospital I could only hold down an ounce or two... Then I was stuffed.

Since then, I can get about 4 ounces of Fluid down...

I'm wondering if this is normal? Should I be worried about stretching it?

I know I had lots of gas in my system. That might have limited me?

There is no way you can stretch out your sleeve with liquid. It goes through too quickly. It's the same reason that people don't feel full on liquids and wonder why they aren't getting signals. You need to keep drinking fluids to avoid dehydration so just keep going, little at a time.

Let me add that if you drink it quickly, you can feel the back up but it goes away quickly in my experience. It's definitely a different feeling than food .

You're also feeling the swelling going down. It will continue to do so and you will feel your capacity expand for about six months or so. Totally normal.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
