I hope you are feeling better and the gas pain has resolved. I didn't have any pain when I was sleeved but I did with my cholecystectomy. That lasted a couple of days IIRC.

I came home this evening from ha ing surgery on Monday 10/23. I still have a lot of gas pain and no desire to eat or drink. How long does this last? I am up walking, took a nice warm shower that felt awesome. I just really need to get this gas out.

I’ve been home about three hours and am in a significant discomfort. Post Op has not been a breeze for me at all. Gas pains mostly collected under my breasts and in the left shoulder. Walking certainly helps and eases heartburn too.

I have very little desire to drink as well. Taking Panadol tablets is really hard cause I feel so full I’m scared to vomit. I was lucky I haven’t had to vomit in the hospital but fear I may need to now at home.

Sitting and laying down is pretty uncomfortable. Haven’t found a great way around either especially when I just want to sleep the pain away haha.

How are you going??

Try to walk as much as you can and also use a spirometer as you will need to get the anesthesia meds out of your system. I was in discomfort for a while as I thought that is how I'm supposed to feel. Laying down will be more discomfort as you sutures will be pulling apart as you lay. If you have a recliner take advantage. I don't have a recliner but my mom prep my bed up with pillows so that I wasn't laying flat on my back. Be positive, think about the big picture and the reason why you took this step and you will manage and pull through [emoji4]

walk, walk, walk, walk, walk. the more you walk, the faster you'll work that gas out.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
