Hi All,

My band has been in my body for 14.5 years. I have been having some severe problems with it for many years now. Our insurance has a no weight-loss surgery restriction. So we got care credit for $7500 and my husband cashed a chunk of his retirement out to pay for the rest.:(

My band to sleep for vision is October 3

My husband is naturally skinny and so is his family. I just feel so much guilt because we have four children and really can't afford this. My husband keeps saying not to feel guilty and that my health is most important. But I still do.

Is anyone else in the same boat? :(

I am not in the same boat as you are as far as insurance not covering my surgery however-i do have children and know what its like to not be able to afford to do certain things. However, this is one thing that you are not only doing for yourself-its for your children as well. They will need and want you around for a very long time to come. Think of this as an investment into their future. Imagine how they would feel if you weren't around because of an issue derived from your weight that could have been prevented.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
