October 17th! my first surgery and I am nervous and scared to death! Right before my birthday on October 20th... I will consider it the best Bday gift or gift in that matter, I have ever given myself... [emoji4]

This thread is popping all of a sudden lol. Yesterday was my last day at work before the leave. I've been telling everyone I'm going on vacation lol. I know it's weird but I feel like I'm preparing for things to go wrong so I spent all day at work making sure everything was organized for my teammates in case I didn't return. Very Morbid. I just have this big fear of dying on the operating table. My surgery is 2 days away and all I can think about is dying. At least it has replaced my yearning for meat.

I feel ya. I’m on day 5 too. Same diet as well. I’m want to eat so bad but I’m not really hungry. I think it’s just a mental thing of chewing. Seeing others eat doesn’t help...

Ditto! And going to Costco is like torture lol

Have your sf popsicles and sf jello ready. I did the Premier Protien drinks because 8 know myself and if I had to prep, I would have failed. I am not sure if you get one meal a day, but I had that prepped too. God luck! Today is my last day on the diet before surgery tomorrow!

I found that doing the protein powder in the morning around 11 helps in keeping me full until around 2. I then may have chicken broth. Around 3 I drink a protein shake and another around 7. In between I have popsicles, jello, and water.

Hope this helps

I seem to go well on the days where I take my medications and vitamins early (6am-8am). Then, depending on heat and the level of my activity, I usually have a protein shake between Noon and 2pm.

A watery blender fruit-salad (4-5 strawberries, half a small, green banana, 7-9 small frozen cubes of mango) is sometimes a top-up prior to dinner.

Dinner is usually 225g-335g of mixed veggies stir-fried with a dessertspoon of curry powder or turmeric. A couple of days I add 2-3 egg-whites for extra protein.

By about 8pm, I slowly swig another protein shake. On a warm night, I have a couple of 300mL mugs of hot, black tea.

Works for me!
