Pre-op diet... I started yesterday and OMFG I was constantly craving! Today was a lot better because I swapped an Optifast shake for an Optifast soup, and that seemed to keep the hunger away.

Plus, I went food shopping today and it was painful walking past all the things I cannot eat. I died a little bit inside, [emoji16] but then I reminded myself that I've been so good sticking to plan.

Oct 10 seems so far away!

I'm 10/5 as well

Its so nice to know that someone can relate to you. I also have little to no support system at home, but I am doing this for me. I am on day 3 with the pre op diet and the headaches are insane! We cam do this! I go oct 3

This Liquid Diet is just knocking off the pounds. I haven't even been on it a full week and I lost 12 more pounds, I went in today for the blood work and I was in shock. Makes me optimistic about the weight loss post surgery lol. It's been hard though. Food has been on my mind ALL day. I just want MEAT. I don't know how vegetarians do it.

My doctor said to plan to be off 3 weeks. I truly doubt that I will need that much time off but if he recommends it and I have the leave to cover it, I am going to take his recommendation.

If you are able and have the time to take off, I'd do it. Just to make sure you get the rest and care you need before going to back to work. I'm stay at home mom, but husband is taking that week off just to help out.

I start mine on the 16th of October I think, (Need to see calendar) but yeah, that part is going to be hard for sure. Glad the Optifast Soup helped. Where did you get them? I had been on Optifast also years ago and it helped, but didn't know if you could get outside of them giving them to you. The 16th will be here quick :)

OH this makes me happy to hear :) Yeah, I make a bad vegetarian, I like meat WAY too much. Great job and congrats.

I slipped on day 3 and ate extra Protein. I felt guilty. Isn't it crazy what we consider a slip now vs before? Lol!

You might have slipped, but you took extra Protein, that's a good thing. YOU GOT THIS!!!

Meguone, I'm in Australia. Here, we can buy Optifast off the shelves from almost every pharmacy. The surgeons seem to recommend the brand a lot. That's why many others in Australia are using the same brand at least during pre-op.

10/9 here too!!! Sleeve buddy

October 13 (Friday the 13th) emoji4.png. I've been so looking forward to this, but now I'm starting to wonder if I'll be able to do it. Does anyone else feel like that? I guess I'm worried I won't be able to get in all my Water and Protein or I will somehow manage to be the one who fails to lose weight. Please tell me I'm not alone.

I sort of do, but then I remember the clothes I want to wear (cute t-shirts) and my wedding dress (red, we got married on October 31st and was a costume party. Planned to wear my dress every Halloween and to the Ren Fairs) and just being able to go up the steps in my own house without passing out. That's keeping me going. Plus we play Pokemon Go and I just have not been able to walk this year the way I want to. You can do it. :)

My surgeon said a week to 4 depending on how I feel. I plan on being back to work in 10 days. And 3 weeks from surgery I start back my traveling for work which is nearly every other week on a plane. Can't wait till I am no longer the one no one wants to sit next too lol
