  1. It is easier now to get my liquid in now. I was just thinking that I'm not losing weight like crazy either. I am having a problem getting in all my protein tho. I will be seeing my surgeon next Tuesday so hopefully he tells me I am OK too. What sucks is that every scale I go to is different!! Good luck
  2. Thank you for your stories. I wish you guys luck. The first 5 days after I took my first sip of water for the day I would have to burp. But now being exactly a week..I don't get that. I'm excited for the future and getting off most of my meds, especially my insulin. My surgeon changed me from 84 units to 25 units and hopefully when I see him next week he stops the insulin altogether. Good luck to u guys.
  3. Hello. I had surgery 10/9/17. I'm 4 days out today. Everyday my pain is getting less and less. But I don't find myself being hungry. I sip my water all day and almost got in my 60 oz today. I'm working on getting in my two protein shakes a day too. So far it's been about1 1/2. How has everyone else been doing in their first week after being sleeved? I think I will try a cream soup tonight for dinner. Fingers crossed it stays down. So far I haven't had gas pain or nausea. I've also been getting up to walk as much as possible. I do find myself getting tired faster tho
  4. Thanks for all those tips. I never thought to blend my protein shakes with fruit. I definitely will try that.
  5. Thank you for the tips and your experience. One thing about this two week liquid diet is that I don't have the urge to drink. For the past two days I've only drank one protein drink a day. Today I drank two but had to force the second one. I've been drinking my water and crystal light and tea but not the protein shakes. I hope I feel like drinking afterwards.
  6. Thank you. I was already scolded by my family that no lifting. So I will be the manager of the move. Lol I'm sure I won't be able to eat much and will still be in the early stages so I'm not worried about eating crappy. I plan to rest slot before going back to work.
  7. Including today I have 5 more days of liquid and protein shakes. Then full liquids then the big day!! I'm still so excited. We are also trying to move into a new home this month and my daughters getting her license the week of my surgery. So many changes. I'm happy I have many distractions so I can be on this liquid diet and not cheat.
  8. Wow wow great job. Truly an inspiration
  9. My surgery date is 10/9 in Phoenix, AZ
  10. Congrats to you! My date is 10/9!! It has been a long process but so with it
  11. It is weird that they vary so much but good for you.
  12. Congrats Lillie on the date and weight-loss!
  13. Hey hey. Just found out this morning that I got a surgery date. 10/9/17!! I'm super excited. I started my liquid diet yesterday because I received my insurance letter on Sat with an inpatient date of 9/28. When I spoke to the scheduler she said they had to put an arbitrary date for insurance but will call them and update it. I can't wait to be on the losers bench. I'm staying positive that these next two weeks on liquid only will fly by. Question...are we allowed to chew sugar-free gum during the liquid diet?? Any feedback will be appreciated. Thx
  14. Glad you are doing well!
  15. Thank you. I'm really looking forward to being more in control of my health and future. Can't wait to be on the other side. I ended up getting referred to another pulmonary doctor and went yesterday. He cleared me and said good luck. I'm super excited that I don't have to do a sleep study. I wanted to scream from happiness when I got in my car. I called my pa but she hasn't responded so today I sent her an email asking her why I need to do now. I'm so ready!!
  16. I understand completely. Good luck with your journey! You got this!!
  17. Thank u. It's exciting because the new life is right around the corner
  18. Hey everyone. I'm Celina from Phoenix, AZ
  19. Hello! I just got a call yesterday that I've already been approved by insurance. I didn't even know my patient advocate submitted because I'm not done with my required appointments. She said she had what she needed for insurance requirements but the last appointment I'm waiting for is the surgeons requirement. I go to the pulmonologist on 9/26/17. She said once I get cleared from them she will set a surgery date! OMG! I was not expecting to be approved already by my ins. I thought it was going to be a fight. I'm so grateful and looking forward to living healthier. I'm so ready for this lifestyle change. I just had to share my news because I'm so happy right now. So now just waiting for the 26th to roll around. I hope I get cleared and have surgery mid October. Thx for reading?
  20. Good luck with your journey. Waiting can sometimes seem like its the hardest. I'm sur if we focus on other stuff time will zoom by for us. *fingers crossed*
  21. I'm on my 3 month multi supervisory plan which started the end of June. I've been cleared by the psych and today by the cardiologist. I'm now waiting to have my first appointment with the pulmonologist on 9/26/17! That is past my 3 months. I know this is a waiting game to get clearances but thought everything would be done within the 3 months. I called the office and asked to be put on the cancellation list. Hopefully I get called before my appointment. I just needed to vent. So far things have been flowing smoothly and I've been getting things done. I go to two weight-loss meetings a month and am signed up to go to this special surgeon's class. I will focus on keeping up the weight I have loss and try to drop more. Good luck everyone
