Hey Berry Bear! I LOVE this thread and is a cute way to showcase what we are eating. That salmon looked tasty. I will post my breakfast plate in the morning. [emoji5] #GastricSleeveFoodie

Try topping your fish with something moist. Salsa, sour cream or yogurt, stewed veggies. Goes down much easier. Yum.

Thanks for the tip:)

I picked up the scale for $20 from a kitchen supply outlet store. It is worth the couple extra bucks.. does grams too!

So it gets difficult with dense food?
I'm worried something is wrong with me
3 weeks post op and it feels like I'm getting my water soups and egg salad down no problems

Dense meat is a whole other ballgame. I can eat 6-8 ounces of chili and things like that. Solid meat.. 3.5 ounces is my max. And that is only if I haven't eaten for a while. And if I eat that much meat, there isn't room for even a bite of veggies. So I eat them separately.

Keep in mind I'm 5 months out. Solid meat shouldn't be on your agenda until around 8 weeks out. (And expect to get full on 1-2 ounces when you get there).

I was aproved for full normal food diet when my surgeon saw me at 5 weeks. I am 7 weeks post and loving normal food :) it is fully on my agenda lol but certainly was not at 3 weeks.

Oven roasted turkey breast cup filled with puréed egg, habanero pepper and cheddar cheese. Let's see if I can eat at least one ^_^

you are keeping us in suspense! that looks delish!

I did end up almost finishing one of them! For context, this is one large egg puréed and split between two mini muffin cups! And it tasted great, went down easy, stayed down. Might have the other one for breakfast tomorrow!

Ohhh... don't those look good! Congrats getting almost a whole one down! ;)

Togunrinde, you've got to hook me up with the recipe. They look awesome! You can list it here or pm me if you want.... Well, assuming you would like to share.

It's really easy! 1 large egg, two habanero peppers(I like spicy food), four skim/low fat cheddar cheese cubes( sliced and diced). Shredded will also work! Two slices of turkey breast(ham also works!).
1. Crack the egg and whisk with the peppers and cheese. Then purée in blender to ensure everything is blended well enough.
2. Grease Muffin pan. Put the turkey/ham slices as the lining of the muffin pan cups. It's ok if there's excess outside of the cups.
3. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
4. Pour egg into turkey/ham Muffin cups. Top with more cheese if desired
5. Bake for about 24 minutes
Et voilà !
This should make two "muffins"
Depending on your own size it might make only one if you use just one egg.
