I just got back from my pre-op appointment and PAT. I've had tons of surgeries but this one has me spooked. I love my surgeon- he's kind and thoughtful, and also director of the bariatric program for the entire hospital system. I keep second guessing my decision. I'm self-pay, so that's a very big part of my worry. So very expensive.

I'm 8/17! Started liver shrinking today. Phew!!

Hello! I am in the UK and have just joined... so much support out there, which is great. I'm having a bypass on 16th August. Day 3 of the liquid diet and feeling ok but generally nervous about the surgery. Also excited though! Been a long road to get this far.

This is a long journey to get to surgery at least that has been my experience. I start my liquid diet on August 28th. How is the liquid diet for you?
