  1. So I got the bypass done on 8/17. I was freaking out before hand. Then, of course, it went just fine. I did have a pretty bad hiatal hernia that was repaired too. I felt restriction for the first time today when I got cream of wheat and was done after 11 spoons. Luckily I've had no nausea or vomiting. I'm taking in all of you guys' lessons on pacing and walking and sipping. Now I'm just waiting to go home and sleep! [emoji4]
  2. I'm so bummed, and just need to vent. My bypass surgery was scheduled fit 5/11 so I went to my class and pre-op labs on Monday. I learned yesterday that my a1c was too high for surgery. I was really surprised it had gone so high. After I ugly cried, I made an appointment with my doctor to talk about a new medication. Has anyone else been through this?
