I'm 7 days PostOp and my belly is very itchy!!!! Is this normal?? I assumed the incision sites would be. But all over belly!! [emoji51]

Yep so normal and my belly still itches. Did they remove your gallbladder?

Probably due to hydration. I was itchy on my front and back for the first couple weeks until I could start getting in 64+ oz of fluid.

Could be contact dermatitis. Is it red and/or blotchy? I got it after my gallbladder was removed. Horrid. They believe I was allergic to either the betadine (like iodine) and/or the steri-strips used in surgery.

This was the only thing that helped: Prednicarbate Ointment 0.1%, It's a Rx.

I went to Dr today for my 1 wk PostOp appt. everything looks great! However, the itchy is from me having an allergic reaction to the dermabond!!! I got a steroid shot! I'm doing better now!! [emoji108][emoji28]
