Had my DS 2/17/17. 74 pounds down. I'm excited to be out of the 300 club but should I have lost more?

I think you are doing AMAZING! My DS was 2 months prior to yours. I am down 83 post op and an additional 64 pre op...147 total in 11 months. I Ann 288 now, but have hit the 6 MONTH SLUMP...my first stall. Fortunately, I knew this would likely happen. Trying to have a good month, though... since I started my journey 7/30/16 with my first bariatric consult. You're doing GREAT...lifelong journey!

50lbs in a little over 4 months isn't bad. We all lose at different rates. (I had my surgery a month after you and am down 42lbs since the surgery.. so I think we're losing at about the same rate). I get how it seems slow, but it really isn't! Some of us are just taking our sweet time.. but there are probably benefits to slower losses.
Our skin might handle it better (fingers crossed)
Our gallbladders might be happier
Our emotional state might be more calm (I am calmer than before surgery!)
If you get concerned, make sure you are tracking what you are eating, and monitoring your exercise, and tweak when necessary. (Personally my exercise has been quite low, so I have lots of room to increase it).
Watch for those non scale victories too! I have lost 11 inches off my hip measurement!

I agree with you, and our surgi-sister here looks great. I was sleeved 3/31/2017 HW 308 (2 weeks prior) SW 297 CW 253 I am -55 in 3 months and happy that I don't run to food to fill any emotional gap. I'm out of 1 med and down from 3 a day to 1 a day in the other. People that have surgery with me have lost more than me but their labs numbers are messed up and they look like they are sick. I try not to compare myself to others because it is self destructive.

So I just had my surgery about 10 days ago. I was so thrilled when I started pooping again. I'm hoping it will improve after a few months. RIght now, it's hit or miss!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
