So I had the bypass on June 6 and I'm on stage 2 puréed food. My doctors office says if you can tolerate a 1/4 cup of puréed food you can move up to 1/2 cup. If I eat a 1/4 cup I don't feel satisfied but if I eat a 1/2 cup I'm satisfied. My wife is arguing with me cause she sees people on Facebook who can hardly tolerate food or Water. I have no issues with water.

I'd be grateful you're not one of those people. If the doc says it's ok I don't see the issue.

Keep following Dr's orders :) I'm on pureed too but I can only do 1/4 cup at a time.

I'm a tad confused about the puréed diet and would appreciate any advice. My diet calls for 3 oz meals 3 times a day. Ok, this leaves me feeling hungry, weak, and lethargic. My NUT's solution was to just keep it going (so disappointed in her 'advice.'). Anyway, can I still have the 'full liquid' diet between my 3 meals? Full liquid such as split pea and tomatoe Soup, Greek yogurt, applesauce, etc?

I had surgery 6/19 and been on puréed for almost a week. Doc told me complete another week for weeks total. He said because I am tolerating foods so well I can move on. But I haven't increased my portion size. Every doc is different. Follow the guidelines but trust your gut too. Best of luck!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
